DUBAI: Residents across the UAE can expect a gradual increase in temperatures today, April 2, with mostly fair weather and occasional cloud cover.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast temperature highs ranging between 32 and 36 degrees Celsius, while lows will hover between 18 and 23 degrees.

Early this morning, the lowest recorded temperature in the country was 12.6°C in Raknah, Al Ain, at 05:30 local time.

Light to moderate winds will persist across the country, with speeds reaching up to 30 km/hr.

Wind and sea conditions

The forecast predicts southeasterly to northeasterly winds blowing at speeds of 10 to 20 km/hr, occasionally reaching 30 km/hr. These winds will remain light to moderate, ensuring relatively calm conditions across the UAE.

For those planning coastal activities, the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea are expected to remain slight, making it an ideal day for beachgoers and maritime travel.

Weather outlook

The warming trend will continue through the weekend, with temperatures steadily rising. Thursday and Friday will bring fair weather with occasional cloud cover, while Saturday is expected to be slightly dusty due to fresh winds reaching up to 35 km/hr during the daytime.

By Sunday, similar conditions will prevail, with clear to partly cloudy skies and fresh winds at times.

Despite the increasing warmth, the transition remains gradual, offering residents comfortable weather before the peak summer heat sets in.
